Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

if all goes well I'm hoping to have my work published for the first time. it's a small non-profit thing but it's a start right? I've made huge strides over the last year in pushing my work to be of higher quality but I feel my relationships have suffered for it. I had a really bad break-up last year as well and it's really warped my view on friendships. I threw myself into my work and I still feel really empty at the end of the day and I want to chill out and not be a wreck who feels like everything they do is wrong.

I know it's not cool to talk about a lack of confidence here and tbh I don't like talking about it either! I'd rather talk about fun things! But after that break-up I don't know how to reconnect with other people even on a casual level and it's all very stupid and sucky. :/

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't always excel in friendships either, so I understand it's easy to get discouraged especially if you don't have anyone to talk to.

It must feel unfair if the friendship suffered because of your work, when that is supposed to be the cause of good things in your life, not bad. Still, getting published is a great opportunity that should give you more exposure and help you in the future.

I'm sending positive thoughts in your direction and hoping that things improve for you, anon.
