Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Just more people in general. Not because I think dwrp is dying, but because some canons have so much trouble getting castmates these days. Back when we were still ljrp, it seemed like all you had to do to draw out castmates was post on dear_mun. Now I catch myself spending hours combing through memes, even when knowing I probably won't find anyone.

Same! Trawling through memes hasn't yielded any results so far and this canon isn't even obscure. I'm starting to think I might have to fuck off to tumblr to get my fix. I don't really want to go back there but the fandom just isn't alive on dw.

I ended up over on tumblr with several of my characters that I just cannot either get canonmates for or get interest in. I wade through a bit more 'meh' but the sheer amount of choices I have over there make the wading a relief considering I have absolutely nil here on DW.

I'd fuck off to Tumblr myself, but I also don't really want to deal with That Segment of fandom to get my fix. Life's stressful enough as it is, you know? And yet it's so very tempting. :(

my rate of finding castmates has remained largely the same over the span of these 10 or so years i've been journal rping

i play from a popular mainstream canon yet it's still somehow impossible to find reliable castmates. idgi.

oh, and keyword: reliable. i do find castmates now and then on memes, but they always drop threads within a short time frame.

I don't think that is new though. I played from several major huge canons over the years and finding reliable castmates is always a pain. I'd say it is even worse with the big canons because of the sheer number of 'oh shiny' players who are naturally attracted to canons like that.
