Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

more fandom stuff on dw. i'm not a big tumblr user and really only go on to see pretty gifs once in a while, but i miss the days when you could have fandom chats on sites like this. i was on the tail end of lj before the big move, and that's how i fell into rp in the first place. i miss being able to have big bangs and prompt fills and fun stuff and just chatter that wasn't all held under the guise of anon and edged with petty bitching.

my desire for fandom discussion pushed me into reddit honestly. but it's such a boys club compared to tumblr and the journal-site crowd.

honestly, i think if we had a fandom presence here, it'd solve most of the problems with the amount of people we've not got.

and lord have mercy i hate trying to navigate tumblr for anything but images.

fandom stuff on DW was great, I wish we could go back to that.

i also miss having communities tailored to specific needs. if you wanted icons, or fanfic, or screencaps/scans, chances were your fandom would have a whole community for it. even niche stuff like specific pairings sometimes had comms dedicated to it. failing that, general discussion communities would often have tags for certain things to help you find what you wanted.

trying to navigate tumblr otoh can be a pain in the half. nontagged posts, mistagged posts... tumblr savior/xkit can only do so much to filter out things you don't care about.

I just want to be able to have a conversation about fandom again. Tumblr is just not formatted for it.
