food grade diatomaceous earth works pretty well for a lot of insects (bedbugs included, fuck those pieces of shit) and it's pretty much harmless to non-insects as long as you don't inhale it or get too much on your skin, since it can dry your skin out.

i think ants hate the smell of cinnamon too.

...i did not know that about cinnamon. i wonder if i could find a cinnamon broom at this time of year. it would at least get them out so i could clean in peace to prevent them coming back!

i might also try the diatomaceous earth. i'm also thinking about trying peanut butter and poison, since these seem to be attracted to (brace yourself) dirty clothes and the like, which suggests protein is the answer.

we finished talking a few minutes ago and i told her i'm more scared/upset by the possibility of losing her as a friend as time passes than i am over the end of our relationship (which is very true!), and she took the time to reassure me that we were best friends before and during our relationship, and that she doesn't want that part to change, either-- so that helps a lot, too.

i'll be treating myself to persona 5 soon, and binge-watching dumb tv in the meantime, so i think things will be better before i even realize it.

A vinegar-water solution in a spray bottle worked pretty well for me when I had ants. It kills them pretty much right away. Makes the room smell a little funky for a while, but it's better than my then-roomie's proposed solution, which was to spray all our kitchen surfaces with Raid.

i'm trying to icon a vidya game (specifically dragon age: inquisition) and i'm running into the struggle of to sharpen or not to sharpen, and just general coloring issues? i don't usually have this much trouble with the selective colors/curves etc when i make icons, but da is a new format for me and i'm really having a hard time getting it to even out right. any suggestions?

i've been rping online for nearly 20 years and i've never seen this problem before dwrp. it's really rather disquieting to see among people who are supposed to be creative and, well, adults, for the most part.

of course what someone writes will always be interpreted differently. who cares?

there are jackasses, but they do tend to get shit on a lot, it's got plenty of action, being a pirate show, and it's only 4 seasons long, with the last episode airing just this last week so you don't have to worry about it being another season longer by the time you caught up.
