what about combining your ideal with your unwanted - not only being able to buy a slot in a plot, how about buying your way out of a plot you got rng'd into and don't like? assuming AC rewards aren't the sole way plot roles are determined and there's still some rng involved.

While there are valid reasons to keep HMDs game-locked - yes, crit isn't a spectator event nor is it supposed to be a public callout.

...But I find that mandatory public HMDs also keep out the largest amount of tittybabies, so that's what I prefer. The type of person who would avoid a game because they don't want to post to a publicly viewable HMD isn't likely the type of person I want to play with anyways. I was at a game that had public HMDs but offered an 'out' (basically you had to post there but could request crit be posted only to your personal journal HMD instead of the HMD post) and looking at the players who took that 'out' was like looking at a who's who list of problem players.

I find it hard to imagine being that annoyed by such inconsequential things.

Looking to play some F/F with age gap & vampirism, with some plot-ish, but focusing on the relationship.

Young woman (very early 20s) meets vampire (late 30s/40s) while fighting off some creepos. They end up striking a good friendship and it just escalates to full-blown banging. I'm interested in playing the younger woman, although she wouldn't exactly be submissive, if that's your thing. Looking for a more balanced "switch" relationship. Super okay with the vampire being 100 years old if at least she looks older. Also into having them get into other smaller kinks like: toys, spanking, bondage. Obviously big into bloodplay. Hard nos on the usual.

Anyway, it would be a semi-PSL with them getting on adventures together, not 100% sure what but I was thinking something along the lines of monster-hunting. Southern gothic aesthetics.

Would prefer OCs for this, but I'm not inflexible about it. Any medium welcomed, although I will be using a LA PB.

if it's a mandatory hmd for the game, then there's no reason for it to be unlocked. players in game can offer critique. any spectators can either sock up and send a private message or move along. people are so thirsty for wank that they're more likely to dogpile into an unlocked hmd at the first whiff of conflict to escalate it and that doesn't create a space where people can actually crit each other.

i've been in a game where there was no gamewide player hmd, but they required a personal hmd and the people who complained about that are just who you would expect

it's like they're semi-aware how bad they are and are afraid to get called out on it

be points, words or comments, normal counting doesn't work imo. you get people tagging out of obligation, giving you lazy tags then dropping the thread when they have the number they need. it sucks.

rewards should be played out, they should be IC. what do i mean by this? put up a challenge, players get the reward when they complete the thread. be getting a chest at the end of a labyrinth with the item they want, or if they want that mansion, make them fight the beings that took over it (be ghosts, torlls or hobos).

but the problem wasn't the mod decision, why people don't get this. it was how they handled it.
