I tried looking up fanart for a small femslash ship and all the art by western fans has one of the girls as fat and darker skinned than she is in canon. What is with this trend especially in fandoms for Japanese video games and anime? It's always the same character they draw as dark too ex. Phoenix Wright, Yuuri Katsuki, I'm even seeing some Velvet/Eleanor art from Tales of Berseria drawing Velvet as the dark skinned one. Why? Are Japanese characters not even seen as POC enough for tumblr that with interracial ships with a Japanese character and a white character, the Japanese character always has to be drawn as darker than they are in canon.

Genuinely curious: when you see someone tagging out a lot on memes (shipping or gen, doesn't matter), do you view them as thirsty or just active? Especially since a lot of memes seem to suffer from the top level syndrome, I wonder if this is something that contributes to that.

tech-savvy anons, what about a browser extension (chrome specifically) would fuck up wi-fi for the entire household?

the extension in question is NOT obvious malware and worked just fine last time i was here, a month ago. i've had absolutely no problems with it before (after using it for over a year) and none of the other wireless internet connections i've used (home, work, library, other public wi-fi with and without passwords, etc.) have had any problems with it.

what would happen is that it would somehow kill the router(/cable box? whatever), which killed both the wi-fi and the cable, and it wouldn't work again until restarting the router.

this is the anon that complained about the provider "wow!" sucking at their grandparents' house so it's completely possible that their service is just sensitive fucking garbage. seriously, my grandparents have had to call for the tech guy multiple times a month since getting them, even times when i wasn't even here. hopefully my grandparents will just fucking switch soon but i'd like to know wtf the problem is.

How would you feel if someone intentionally went into a relationship with you knowing that you two were incompatible in hopes that you'd "grow up" and change your mind?

I'll use "you don't want kids and never will want them" as an example but it could easily be something like "I know you love your dog like your own child but I actually really hate dogs and I was hoping you would choose me over your dog and get rid of it" or "I know you said you never want to leave NYC and that you have a great job and lots of friends here, but I really want to live back in my hometown with my family."

Situation #1: Sam wants kids but lies about hating kids so that you'll date them because you said that you don't date people who want kids. They showed absolutely no signs of wanting kids in the beginning of the relationship. After a long time of being together, they tell you that they want kids and were hoping that you would "grow up" and change your mind. How do you respond to Sam?

Situation #2: Sam wants kids and you tell them that you don't date people who want kids. Sam later lies and tells you that they changed their mind and you date them, since you were under the impression that Sam wanting kids wasn't a problem anymore. If it helps, maybe Sam told you some bullshit about how "I'll just obsess about my sister's kids" or "I'll channel my parenting instincts into a pet." After a long time of being together, they tell you that they want kids and were hoping that you would "grow up" and change your mind. How do you respond to Sam?

Situation #3: Either situation applies but there's a different, more batshit ending. After a long time of being together, you catch Sam doing something like poking holes in condoms, sabotaging birth control, or whatever the equivalent is for your situation. Like if they don't want a dog, they tried giving your dog away and claiming that he/she ran away. If you refuse to move, you caught them trying to buy a home in their hometown for the two of you or trying to find a buyer for your home. You call Sam out and they said they were hoping you would "grow up" and change your mind. How do you respond to Sam?

And if you have to ask, yes, there is a VERY high chance that Sam will freak out and accuse you of "not loving them enough" if you don't change your mind for them because you're being "selfish." If you do something like "choose the dog over them," you can bet your ass that they'll use it against you.

If any anons have dealt with relationships like this (romantic or platonic), if you could tell me about your experiences, I would appreciate it.

nonnies, what's the best/most diplomatic way to deal with a castmate who keeps talking up their character as the best and unbeatable one while treating the rest of us as just extras? it's not bad enough to veer into godmodding but by god, it's irritating as fuck. the worst part is it's not entirely ooc since theirs is the protag. i dont want any part in their asskissing routine and i want them to stop, is there a way to convey this in the most tactful manner possible?

whats a good alternative to journal rping for a small group of people? a friend of mine wants to play in a musebox setting but cant do DW because it doesnt have a good mobile version. tumblr wont work for them either, they said they get too lost trying to follow rp on tumblr.
