Anon from the reply above, yeah, I sent it. The thought of the English market potentially helping more BL games get made is what spurred me to send it.

Nitro+Chiral is a beast when it comes to the BL market. Their stuff sells like hotcakes so I'm pretty sure they will be around for a while yet. I wonder why everyone else has such a tough time of it though. It's not like the market is oversaturated when it comes to BL games.

Love Delivery seems to have done well with Taishou Mebiusline and they've even got a new game coming out. Parade seems to be doing well too. There's also GRISEDGE who is coming out with their second game Kintouka in March. Though both it and Galtia went through a lot of delays. So maybe there's hope? I also think that since there's not a lot of BL games in English or many coming out commercially in Japan that expanding into the overseas market would be helpful. Like you said, the fandom here is starved for releases and unlike the market for stuff aimed at dudes, there's not out here or coming out period so the risk of oversaturating the market is slim. Of course, there's other factors like if the game would appeal enough with its story to sell well but it would be easier for them to stand out since there's not hundreds of them to choose from.

Well there's stuff like YariMesu so I guess it's always possible? But there's got to be someone on the staff who'd be willing to and have enough pull to sway other people in the company to try to make a BL game.

that's one part of fandom i've never truly understood. if they like the character... why do they make them act like completely different characters? wouldn't it make more sense to get off on the characters acting like themselves?

Okay sorry I haven't read the whole thread yet but please, PLEASE, for the love of God, understand that a castrato is not the same thing as having a high pitched voice. Tonally they're completely different, and I don't want to get deep into it, but compare the voice of a 9 year old boy to the voice of an adult doing a "boy voice" like you'd see in a cartoon; going through puberty structurally changes your vocal cords in such a way that it's nigh-on impossible for a sexually-mature adult to imitate the register of a child. Shmorky does not sound like an adolescent boy, he sounds like a guy on helium, or a voice actor doing a nasal-y nerd voice. Unless someone literally chopped off his ballsack before he hit puberty, he is a soprano. Please, please, PLEASE, stop calling him a castrato. 100% sure you've never heard a castrato in your life anyway, seeing as the last castrato stopped singing over 100 years ago.

I'm having a bit of trouble deciding. I was going to go with Nanairo Reincarnation with a note about getting in touch with CafeDX since he's planning to fantranslate it, Akeiro Kaikitan, and Shinsou Noise. The other anon above reminded me of Koezaru was Akai Hana which I almost forgot about even though I put it in last year. So now I'm trying to figure out which one to swap out for it.

There's also some nukige, otome, and BL titles I'd like to request but I'm trying not to complicate things too much and try stick with the original ones I thought of above.

That's probably a good idea. We should see how Sona-Nyl does before requesting any other titles in the series. Do you know when koestl hopes to get around to translating it?

Is there a serious source on being threatened with legal action? I've seen it thrown around a lot but I can't find specific examples of people saying "yes this happened to me."

In the seedy heart of a big city, there's a sleazy bar/strip club that caters to the very wealthy. You don't get inside unless you're Someone, or with Someone. It's full nudity, and the girls dancing there are also available for extra services for money- usually right there in the main room. It's not uncommon to see one of the waitresses or dancers kneeling below a table, or being bent over one, for instance.

Also, while the establishment claims that all of its performers and staff are over 18 and has proper paperwork to prove it, some of them look suspiciously young.

I'd like to play one (or more) of the dancers/waitresses there to serve the clientele, whether male or female. The character I'll be playing is from a drawn medium and is ~15/16, though I can add more characters (likely OCs). Leave a sock where I can reach you.
