In a steady relationship for 3+ years and I don't have much drive while my partner would have sex everyday. Our compromise is something like penetrative sex about 3 times a month, with other things (hands, oral, etc...) every few days between, though it's not like... a solid schedule

It doesn't start off boring at all, actually! From the first episode onward, it's pretty intense with Mikazuki and his friends rebelling against their former bosses and making their own company. The subject of child soldiers (because that's what Mika and the rest of Tekkadan are, no bones about it) and the bloodshed they face/cause can understandably make the fights they get into more than a bit disturbing on principle alone. The plot of Tekkadan escorting Kudelia Bernstein to Earth goes about as quickly as you can expect for a 26-episode series. It does feel like it drags a little while they're trying to make their way to Earth, but thankfully the lulls are interspersed with good ol' robot battles to keep it from being too static. There's also a kind of awkward attempt to write a polyamorous relationship between three of the main characters, but the writers are good about not making it a rivalry for the one's affections so that's nice. I personally think the romance subplots are out of place with the rest of the really heavy subject matter of war, slavery, child soldiers, revolutions, and political intrigue. That's just me though.

To me, IBO feels like Gundam Wing but on an interplanetary scale. It parallels Wing quite a bit too, so if you've ever watched that, you'll probably pick up on it. As far as I know though, IBO is a standalone story in a different timeline from other gundam installments, so you don't have to watch any other gundam to get what's going on. However, there is a small hint that it takes place in the Universal Century timeline, but it's not immediately clear if that's just an easter egg or not.

As for his uniform, Mikazuki is really short. He's easily a whole head shorter than the other protagonist, Orga Itsuka, so his jacket is about three or four sizes too big and who knows where he got it from.

You can’t possibly tell me the human zoo wasn’t an allegory or whatever for slavery and how blacks born into it were led to believe it was normal and were seen as stupid by the owners, who took pride in manipulating them into believing it was normal (all while telling themselves it was okay cause they didn’t know any better). oh, another thing: do you know what the dub's like? i prefer subs but i've been too lazy to watch subs lately so i'm behind on all of my anime.

as long as it doesn't have drastic changes like changing characters' entire personalities and the characters don't have goofy accents, i'm cool with sticking to the dub, although if it's something like http://authoratmidnight.tumblr.com/post/143958974760/ (sfw, just yu-gi-oh garbage) i'll probably just watch both. i've only watched the dub of g gundam and subs of gundam build fighters so i don't know about the gundam franchise's history of dub changes.

so how IS this game? do you recommend it? i've enjoyed christine previous works but what i've seen on this one looks bizarre, pretentious and nasty. and these caps sure don't make it look any more promising, at least with no context. why does your character even get raped, 'plot' wise?

I think the dub is fantastic and actually pretty spot on compared to the Japanese dub. I can't recall a dub voice that sounded wrong or forced tbh! They all sounded very comfortable and natural, as if the script was written in English to start, if that makes sense. Mikazuki's English voice actor in particular sounds similar to his Japanese one, and really the only unusual voice I'd say is Orga's, and even then that's only because it's Johnny Young Bosch and he usually doesn't take roles like Orga. Bosch doesn't do a bad job either, it's just that you can easily recognize it's his voice.
