i wouldn't be surprised. the sherlock fandom is psychotic.

look into dentists that offer "care credit" which can help take the load off of the expenses for people who are low-income. sometimes they can even pay your entire bill for you.

As someone in the tech industry, I promise you we are being paid a lot of money to automate all grunt work out of existence. Sorry bro.

I had no idea SU still garnered so much interest that people were willing to risk their careers by leaking entire bombs. It felt like the unreliable scheduling killed off a lot of interest.

and this is part of a huge problem that i have with the way the world is run. everything used to be done by hand. then production needs expanded and they found a way to automate things. now, even the most basic, menial tasks are being turned into automated jobs, which is leaving us with a larger population and way less jobs. way less. you can't just double the population in a country and turn thousands of jobs into machine operated ones and then point the finger at the populace and go 'you're lazy. find a job'.

i was happy to hear the news of ford bringing 700 jobs into the us as a vote of trust for trump. but the automotive industry is so heavily automated anymore. :/

Trust me, I have been trying to get this through the heads of people for years. Automation is quickly consuming jobs (I'm actually in the health care sector, and we're eliminating, for example, the need for coding specialists (as in people who code medical procedures for billing purposes) and really the need for receptionists). "Just get a job" is becoming futile advice for unskilled workers, and one day in the future there probably won't be many jobs left.

lj is practically synonymous with the independent press in russia, and a lot of people don't want to move away from a site where they have years of established connections. also i think lj handles comment conversations much better than most other blogging sites. visually it's pretty old-fashioned, but in terms of features, lj is surprisingly flexible... it's kind of surprising that there hasn't been a modern incarnation of it.
