it's the opposite for me. would love to thread with my character's canon love interest, but the only ones out there are decidedly unsatisfying (thread droppers, powergaming, don't ship it, only playing for their friends who are not me, etc). one of these said players also has their head so far up their own ass that they are bearable only after reducing ooc contact with them to a minimum, which makes plotting hard.

as the adage goes, this fandom was a mistake.
