I dropped a whole long time before shit hit the fan, if it helps, so I wasn't there when things blew up.

Pocahontas learned nothing, except maybe to exert herself.

disagreeing here, since pocahontas was the first princess to get her 'prince' and then lose him by willingly giving him up. where moana learned that what was right for herself and her people was not being afraid to strike out and search for more beyond the reef, pocahontas learned that sometimes you can't always get that perfect fairytale ending and it's okay. making the choice for the good of all can mean you have to give up something yourself even if it's something you really want.

being a princess means you have responsibilities to your poeople, too, not just awesome adventures and animal sidekicks. pocahontas gave up john smith to not only save him, but because in the end, her love of her people and her duties to them were more important than the guy she had fallen in love with. stopping the 'war' didn't fix everything and she knew she had more work to do.

pocahontas has a very grown up lesson that she learned that most disney movies don't get into.

Denying that DWRP is on its way out doesn't make it less true, and with the amount of salt left over here it just makes it more apparent. RPing elsewhere has reminded me why I loved RP in the first place. So different.

im latina and what you said is a huge insecurity of mine tbh. for all intents and purposes im 'white passing' so i don't even bother to mention it, despite feeling very strongly about where i came from and a little upset that my great grandfather and his children didn't do more to educate us on it. and oh boy it's not just sjws, but they sure do a lot of it.

Break's over, cupcake.

Your alarm grins it at you from your bedside table. You roll over, willing that monster away, but it's already made its way in. You feel those whens, whos, and whys squirming inside you. The worst kind of worms. They'll be gone in the morning, but now it's just you and them and they're churning you inside out.

That'd teach them. For sending you back to school. For stealing away this sweet summer bliss.

The disappearances might steal some of your thunder though. There'd be no televised funeral, no pile of flowers left at your bed or your parent's door. No charities or sick kid hospitals either. Nothing. So unfair. You'd just be another flower on the memorial to everyone but your friends, family, and this new thing curled up at your side.

You lift it up into the air. Your new Pokemon — the one you got on your birthday. The one you're not legally supposed to have but no one really cares about. It stares at you with sleepy eyes. It quiets the worms. Puts back some of the spine they chewed away. You roll back over, cradling your new favorite thing, and brave the clock again.

The worms didn't go away. They're butterflies now.

bloodplay, knifeplay, hurt/comfort, all sorts of fucked up hurting people sort of kinks.

person A is bored immortal/person with healing factor reveals to person B that hey, knifeplay and cutting and all sort of messed up things where he gets hurt turn him on. I'm up for person B being more reluctant about the whole scenario and only doing this b/c it gets person A off or person B discovering that they're a bit of a total sadist and /they/ get off on hurting person A themselves.

I've got a canon character that I can use but can def make an oc as well if that's more your jam. I'm good with either m/m or m/f and ideally I'd play the person with a healing factor

Yeah, I was there to the bitter end so that colors things. But when it was great, it was fab, I had some awesome times there.

this sounds like a pretty interesting concept, but guys, that game description is kinda cringy. too prosaic for a game description, way too dramatic for a pokemon game description.

especially for ocs that are in 7th grade

it's my fault because i did that thing where i waffled and waited and took my time on my app and that probably was part of why it never really took off

i want a game exactly like it super bad, just jrpg and tomb raider without too much extra bullshit and just enough plot

you could probably go either way with your canon review! just focusing on plot episodes and holt-centric episodes would get you by fine, but i'm sure he has a lot of good moments/jokes in other episodes too if you take up the full monty.

as far as breaking the deadpan goes, i'm 90% convinced that it just operates on Rule of Funny (or in sad emotional cases like the s1 finale). like there was that cold open where everyone was guessing why amy was 5 minutes late, and it was a lot funnier for him to shout HOT DAMN when he was right than it would've been for him to keep being deadpan.

he's got investment in things like riddles/puzzles, personal vendettas, etc. he was super excited to go all Velvet Thunder, he practically seethes when Wunch is involved with anything. he's definitely deadpan more often than not but there's a lot of room to wiggle! and if you're thinking of taking him to a game, maybe consider if he'd be less likely to break character (so to speak) with people he's only just gotten acquainted with/doesn't trust just yet? idk he is a fucking enigma.

if all else fails, just try playing around with it until you feel like you've found the right balance.

Probably hit up some memes and maybe app her somewhere later on. Nd to voice this adorable little girl~ ♥
