i think despite people getting occasionally bitter & nasty on anoncomms overall we're pretty keen to have new blood! and don't worry about rambling, i've been in the same spot once so answering questions is fine.

whether you join a game with or without OCs depends on how much risk you want to take. as you said, bigger games like MoM and eudio have OCs so you know they're going to be more open to them, but I've also joined games with zero OCs and done fine! personally i'd advise going for a game that'll suit your style more; there's no point joining a big game bc there's other OCs if you won't be able to keep up (I used to be in MoM, actually, and dropped for that reason). honestly as long as your OC & writing is decent and you're willing to put the effort in to tag out/plot with people, you should do fine anywhere!

Same here. Since I dropped every game and just joined GPSLs/PSLs, I'm much more inspired to do stuff. If there's a plot in the GPSL I don't enjoy, I just skip it and it's no big deal.

I don't have to have CR with boring people, I don't have to deal with flakes, I'm interested in the characters I do have CR with, it's great.

what we know:

- this is an update of Revelator, rather than a full new game
- releases in japanese arcade in March, home release TBA
- only PS4 is getting a physical copy of rev2 (for those who never bought revelator, I imagine) with Steam and PS3 getting digital upgrades? this i'm not super sure on
- in addition to Answer and Baiken, we're getting Arcade Episodes for Jam, Raven, Haeyun, Dizzy, Answer, and Baiken.
- also an additional storymode episode? not sure on this either

i play ahsoka, and i'm really craving the opportunity to play her in new kinds of scenarios — specifically, i'd love to play her in crossovers with other space-type universes (star trek, guardians of the galaxy, mass effect). either for duck-out-of-water-suddenly-in-the-wrong-universe shenanigans, or cross-galaxy traveling, or any other au that sounds like fun!

i'm also down for shipping, but i tend to like a lot of build-up and development for a rad slow burn deal.

if you have a sci-fi/space-faring character, i'd love to see if we can work something out!

just post your own subthread with your questions! i'll post mine in a sec.

1. what do your characters think about jamjar worlds? if they've been in a game with an official explanation they're told about (like "you were chosen by the gods to save the world from a trump presidency"), do they believe what they were told or do they have other theories? for characters who don't get a fancy explanation, what do they think about the whole situation?

1b. if any of your characters have had a "jamjar"-like experience in canon, does that affect their beliefs at all? for example, any characters from "trapped in a video game/warped to another world or time period" canons, or characters who were icly chosen by gods/leaders to be a hero. if any of your characters are those "screw destiny" types like seto kaiba, does that affect their beliefs?

2. same as 1 but with character drops. how does your game explain drops and what does your character truly think happens to their friends after they're dropped?

3. what ic reasons do your characters come up with to explain the fact that most human rp characters are predominantly japanese (anime/manga) or caucasian (live action)? do any of your characters ever wonder where the fuck the rest of the world's at? for example, if you play a white character from a white majority country in a game filled with animus, are they really confused by all the asians?

4. same question as 3, but with age. i have a feeling that a lot of games are full of teens and young adults unless they're sex games with an age minimum. what do your characters think about it?

5. for your characters who don't deal with aliens, monsters, or talking animals in canon, what do they think about the aliens, monsters, and talking animals in their game? they can probably figure out "we're all from different universes" easily, but do they feel awkward as fuck talking to a tiny pastel-colored pony? does your character secretly want to fuck that cute slime girl?

6. how do your characters rationalize castmates acting ooc? for example, your canon's version of dice_dice_baby apps in. or their castmate is a little shy in canon, but an anxious wreck in the game for some reason because the player isn't very good.

7. if you play any characters that wouldn't understand crazy and/or brightly-colored anime hair, how do they rationalize it? "fucking goths and emos these days"?
