really? i don't think they expected it to get big but they don't seem to mind it. they've been pretty quick and polite about questions and concerns and seem enthusiastic. i haven't spotted any questions being left unanswered for even a day as of yet.

Except playing out smut doesn't always mean you are fantasizing about fucking the character your character is fucking, whether it's underage or not. That's why people are saying you are lacking an IC/OOC divide or else you tend to self-insert.

So let me guess, if someone is straight, female and plays a cis male character in a m/f relationship you think that makes them trans and/or bi/lesbian? According to your logic this player must be fantasizing about fucking a woman and that means they can't be straight and since they are fantasizing about being male they must also be trans.

Actually I was just trying to better understand your logic since you seem to think everyone who plays smut fantasizes about the character their character is smutting with. So explain to me why with your logic it's totally fine for a straight person to be straight even if they always play males smutting with females, but a player is a pedo if their character fucks a 17 year old no matter how old their character is (so yes, I'm including two underage teens having sex here)? I know I've seen it argued here before that a lesbian who always plays m/m may not actually be a lesbian as well so this isn't really meant to be a strawman, it's me trying to understand the logic of why one behavior is accepted by you but another is not.

And btw, I don't even play underage smut. I just don't fantasize about the characters my character is smutting with and would appreciate it if people didn't assume I do. Unlike you I am not self-inserting and understand that IC=/=OOC.

it can depend on the smut thread, honestly. there ARE smut threads that are just plain getting my jollies off, but those are more to the tune of my actual fantasies.

threads about noncon (i'm counting pedo shit as noncon since no child can consent) and violent and fucked up sex are more about the psychological aspect of it. it's torture porn, not porn porn. i play that stuff because i want to write out the horrible fucking damage it can do to a person.

clarifying this: even if it doesn't, wording it in a way that very clearly says "this is a sore subject for me" might make him back off, and mentioning weight might get through to a thick-skulled dude.

Only the first half of this is relevant to us and that just means it takes an extra four seconds.

i tend to only play it with friends who i know are writing it for the same reasons, bc of that risk.
