so i gave my reasoning as to why i did beyond just 'because', while respecting that they were entitled to not have the same feelings.

are you just trying to be antagonistic for the hell of it? yes, it's been getting dropped since the series started up again, but there isn't a lot of talk about it. especially not in comparison to other more popular fandoms that have incredibly long threads. it's nice to find people off my plurk list to talk to about it, which is what i was hoping to do. getting dropped with four/five comments isn't the same as long discussions.

and unlike some, i actually pay attention to which comm i'm in, so yes, i understand that it doesn't get dropped on wg. i don't think it's been dropped there ever. which is fine. it gets dropped here, it has a handful of comments about new episodes, and that's also fine. what's wrong with wanting to talk more about it? (conversations in this canon in the past are ones i've been a part of, so i'm aware of how often they happen).

you're welcome to consider it ship pushing, but as i stated more than once that not liking it was fine, i don't think you really understand what ship pushing is.

when someone says they don't like a thing, they're very rarely looking to get five paragraphs of why you think that thing is great.

hello flatviewer. as i pointed out, they didn't exactly say they didn't like it, and i said, multiple times, that was okay. i don't really see why giving a reasoning why i like something so that someone can see another angle of it is a bad thing. i don't expect them to home alone their face and 'oh, well, now i've seen the light. clearly we must all ship them'. they can still just enjoy a platonic ship, which i also said i liked. "i sort of don't see it" isn't "eww, this ship sucks, never mention it to me again."

kind of sad that a paragraph or two is now 'five paragraphs' when we all enjoy writing hobbies, but the way to win an argument is to call someone overinvested by using too many words. i'm not saying i wasn't defensive. i don't appreciate being called a ship pusher when that wasn't my intent. particularly by someone not involved in the conversation who then also assumed that i don't come to the comm and don't know how often this canon's discussed/not discussed. this thread has been up for 2 episodes and the first one it was up for got 5 comments about how sad it was and a couple about how we all hope linda adjusts before this sidetracked. i would love to talk more about it. i don't tumblr and i don't have that many people on my plurk that watch the show, so finding other people that like it is a plus for me and this isn't wg, so having an actual discussion about it shouldn't be as much trouble as it seems to be.
