Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Piece by piece won't be any faster, in fact it may end up slower because you have to keep adding more pieces in. The slowness is due to the speed of the hard drives involved since it can only go as fast as the slowest hard drive involved. If the slowness is bothering you, wait and queue it up when you won't be using the computer, like overnight.

All depends on what sort of hard drive it has. Hard drives have mostly only improved on storage capacity, not on speed. Most computers come with a 5500rpm drive unless you specifically looked for one with a 7200rpm or SSD.

It's actually interesting with all the upgrades that have happened with computers and yet hard drives still typically run at the same speed they did a decade ago.
