rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

2. Two or three days is nothing, unless it's a consistent 3+ days between every single tag.

would you stop playing with someone if they did this? i'm trying to get back into rp myself after a long hiatus and i'm trying to gauge how backtag friendly people actually are. i find a lot of people used to say they were but weren't really, but this was years ago.

i know i'm going to hit times where this will be me due to work and a lot of other important rl activities and i dont want people to be less likely to tag me if i occasionally hit a rung where i might tag 3 or more days out consistently.

i find the best way is to just be upfront with people about your tagging speed so they don't come up with their own theories and dump you (they're not really interested in the thread, they're trying to stall it out so they can drop it, they're flaky and can't manage their time, etc). put it out there that hey, your have rl on your plate and sometimes you might not tag back for a few days, but you're willing to backtag to compensate for that. as long as you live up to what you say and communicate you shouldn't have any problems.

Your best bet would be to seek out games that are slower on avergae. There you're most likely to find a bunch of people who won't mind or even kind of expect that pace.

Also the other anon is right that you should just say life leaves you busy since rpers can be PA as fuck.
