rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. snowblindrpg, it's a really fun setting to play Cecil in (I played him there until recently). It's heavily network based so really good for radio broadcasts, and the creeping horror is quite reminiscent of Night Vale.

if i'm commenting to a meme where someone is already playing my character, i try to add more information about what i'm interested in playing, to give people trying to choose which to tag more information to make that decision

if i'm choosing which of a character to tag, i check icons. not for quality, which i don't care much about, but for how many icons focus on the same types of expressions. it can sometimes give a good idea of what kinds of things the person likes to play: a journal full of icons of a character beaten up is probably being used for different things than one full of the character laughing

not especially! i mean ideally someone who wouldnt be too assertive (so as to not just blow the whole scenario out of the water) but other than that anyone would work

obviously, i'm going to tag the version of the character that's open to mine. this might sound like a no brainer, but in a sea of characters, i might go for ota, f/f, m/f, m/m, depending on what my mood is and who i'm playing. that makes a lot of the decision for me; if i'm playing peggy carter, keeping with your steve example, i'm obviously not tagging a m/m only steve.

once the no-gos are knocked out of the running immediately, i use certain simple criteria to determine who i'll tag.

a. are any of these accounts known wankers or flakes who've snubbed me in the past?
b. if we played together before, do our styles mesh?
c. are all of the accounts new to me? if so, i go to the journal to see if there's any samples, threads, etc. to get a peak of what their play style is like.
d. should all else fail, like the above anon, i judge purely by aesthetics. shallow, yeah, but when it's a meme and i have nothing else to go by, i'm going to go with my gut.
d.5. there's another "rock, paper, scissors" tactic when i'm down to two or so viable top level options and i just can't decide, which is to go with the version of the character that's untagged. i find people who aren't overloaded with other tags, probably from friends or castmates they'd give priority to, tend to tag back.

couple of scenarios, both m/f:

1) magic/mind control/whatever being used to enhance sensitivity or increase pleasure during sex. can be consensual or non-consensual.

2) character a hunts down character b because they need them/their powers for something or other. lots of sexual tension, using whatever leverage they have over each other, bargaining etc.

all characters must be 18+! willing to discuss further kinks and i can play either side of both these scenarios although i only have male characters for the magic/mind control side of option 1. leave a sock.

I really don't have any particular theme in mind. I'm really open to a wide variety. (Which is not helpful in this case.)

Probably not an AU game, that's my only thought.

Nope! I'd be playing from manga as the monster but I have no medium preferred.

Spiders are welcome to come in to my home and stay as long as I don't have to see them. If they come into my sight, they are getting smushed.

I actively encourage them. I have a few UV lights that attract flying bugs I keep in my designated spider zones. They eat well.
