Haha, I don't remember the specifics, but basically one of the mods (Desh) got shot through a door or window in his home, it was either an attempted robbery or some kind of scuffle outside but it didn't go any further than that. He had to go to the hospital and recovered just fine, but while he was recovering some mod stuff was late due to the team lacking a member.

Most of the game was really understanding about it, but there were a few shitheads who complained about the delays. Can't remember who or how it ended besides the sane half of the game calling them out on their shit.

by that point in the game, Catie was M.I.A. and Amanda was never around (not that unusual), so Ningi was basically running the entire game by themselves with only the little bit of input Desh could contribute his arm all fucked up

the playerbase at large, mainly the longstanding players who'd been there for 3+ years at that point, endlessly bitched at the mods for wanting to end the game on a happy note instead of having everyone continue suffering food shortages and events in the space station. After Catie just up and vanished, there was another poll of what the players wanted to have happen in the game and it was decided the game would end early by having them reach an assumed hospitable planet and it would become a player-run musebox, but after that it was pretty much abandoned since only a handful of players were left by that point
