rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

again, maybe they didn't know. like i said, it could have come about afterward. they might not have known until things just kept happening and they decided they were done with it and wanted to end it. at least it's 6 months and not next week.

anon, the app round just finished. i'm pretty sure they knew. they maybe didn't know exactly how they were gonna conduct it, but they knew.

should they have put up an announcement before knowing how they were going to conduct it? that sounds more thoughtless than taking the time to have the details mapped out for the players.

maybe they could have just delayed the app round.........

and then people would have complained about THAT.

rpers are never happy, if they announced it before the round people would have complained about that too.

maybe so but "we're delaying the app round a week while we put some new policies into place, watch this space for more information to come" is a lot better than "welcome to the game! anyway, it's ending."

again, maybe they didn't know for sure. why would they make an announcement about something they weren't sure of? would you have preferred it go up mid-app round? 'but i already put in my app'

it's only a waste of time if you make it be one. if you're having fun in the game, that's 6 months of fun. is this how you look at everything? 'well, this book is great, but it's only going to take me a few hours to read it. seems like a waste of time'. 'why didn't they tell me this series was going to get canceled? god. such a waste of time'.

shit happens. it happens in rp just like it happens everywhere else. you roll with it or you be one of those people that bitch and whine about everything you can't control.

good lord.

we get it, anon, none of us have a right to be upset according to you, but you are stretching really hard with that analogy, especially since people DO get upset when series they enjoy are suddenly canceled. so it doesn't even prove your original point.
