rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

does anyone in this hobby care about tokusatsu other than that one autistic person with the 2000 zyuranger accounts?

I care deeply about Toku, but I don't have the time to watch 25 hours of material at a decent pace, so I'm way too behind to keep up with the current pace.

But if anyone ever wants to talk about Boukenger or something, I'm there.

given that that's toku's rep i don't think it's any surprise most toku fans don't talk about it in rp-related social settings much

every time it comes up the one anon pipes up with LOL THAT ZYURANGER OBSESSED WEIRDO like a. we're supposed to know or care who that is, and b. toku is the only kid-oriented fandom people like to watch and it's thus mockworthy. i don't see how discussing toku is any weirder than the hundreds of comments on here/wg/plurk that are devoted to the deep analysis of steven universe, but having gotten that kind of reaction i've stopped bringing it up.

I love most Kamen Rider. The recent years have been good to it: W through Ghost have been great, with Wizard being the only big stinker.

Not as big a fan of Super Sentai. It's much more episodic, with less of an eye towards the "dad" audience any show with this sort of legacy will have, aka KID'S SHOW IS TOO KIDDY NERDRAGE.

I like Garo in theory. In practice about half the seasons have been pretty bad, which is a shame.

Same. Umeko and her rubber duckies are my favorites forever.

And Sen-san and Ban and Swan-san and Doggie and...! Hnnngggh it's just SO GOOD.

i play a marvelous. i just don't have as much time for rp these days. i've never watched zyuranger. actually, the only oldish sentai i've watched is magiranger... should fix that.
