i love how you're tossing out old instances which, btw, was universally condoned as far as wg's response to a troll (and the site as a whole) as some kind of proof. that went around because of the content, with people outright stating, 'i don't actually read wg, but someone told me this was (thing) and so i did and omg'.

now, we know that most of the 'i don't usually read wg, but' are lies, but there were people i know that never went to anon comms that saw treegate, so that's the shittiest of all shitty examples.

not everyone reads wg. not everyone wants to. not everyone needs to. but if something big like that happens? it gets linked around.

i love how you try to dismiss it as a one-off instance and somehow maintain the fantasy that all of dwrp just paid attention that one time but the rest of the time they don't care honestly!

oh, right, it's only a minority that cares about wankgate. that must be why almost every game that's tried to open this year has gotten wanked out of existence, and most of the remainder are on life support.

i love how the people pissed off about dragon called can't shut up about it yet every chance they get they swear that wg had nothing to do with their game closing, their mod was just sucked into the land of oz!

as excuses go, "got sucked into a tornado" ranks up there with "drunk at a party" on the believability scale

and even if she really was transported to oz, i presume she still has her phone. why would this kill the game and not just delay it?

because so far no one's heard back from her. meaning she could be injured. meaning that a game on the internet is the last thing she's concerning herself with. or she could have family injured. or dealing with a destroyed home.

she lives in florida. around the time she went mia, there was a pretty big storm/tornado. do the m... i'm not saying that word. but do it.

in this age of smartphones and tablets it's still fairly inconceivable to me that she just went mia because of a storm with no word at all

i used to live in a state that got hit pretty regularly with hurricanes. had to tough out some pretty bad, city-evacuating ones, and not once was i ever put out of touch for weeks. if i lost power, i just walked over to a friend who got it back (or one who had a power generator, they were more common than you'd think)

again, you're saying it like 'getting in touch' with the internet is her main priority right now. lot of worst case scenarios crop up that could be a good explanation why she can't, or isn't. she seemed really keen on getting the game up and going, so i just don't see it being something she randomly decided to drop for no reason. i could see maybe handing everything over and fucking off, but no word or anything with things left hanging for this long? i'm more concerned than i am petty.

is there even any news evidence to corroborate this tornado story?

seems to be "the word" in the plurks i've seen. it wasn't in the update post, but they seem to be hoping she'll come back. i think if she's been gone for half a month or more with no updates, that's not a good sign.

if i knew the exact date she went missing i could probably get you something, but as another floridanon, someone gets a tornado pretty much every week once hurricane season hits. there was one six days ago and one on may 9 (probably the one the mod was in danger from if it's been a couple weeks). if there's no big news about it it's because a tornado in florida isn't big news.

forgot to add: just in the county where i live we get 2 or 3 tornado warnings a year.

as she seems to have been gone longer than six days, it could have been the may 9 one. the mod plurk posts seem to have been from one of the other mods, so i don't know exactly how long she's been gone, but i think that lines up with when she stopped being around.

hmm. i might have been wrong, because i can't find solid info for a tornado in florida on may 9. but there was two deadly ones in oklahoma that day, so it's also possible that news is just getting overshadowed (i'm not invested enough to dig past a couple of pages on google). or it's possible that dragoncalled mod is in oklahoma, not florida, or that there was another tornado somewhere around that date that i haven't found news on. idk. the point being that, while anon above isn't wrong to ask for concrete evidence of the tornado existing, that evidence may not exist or be easy to find whether it really happened or not

this isn't about dragon called. i don't give a shit either way about dragon called. there's a dozen other games this shit has happened to this year.
