i'd never even heard of them before all the namedropping

it's less 'a lot' and more 'the wrong person'. someone things everyone replying to certain things is noodles. i've been called noodles a bunch (?) and the only thing i know about them is they play an oc? or used to? i don't know.

if you piss off the wrong person in this hobby now you will get your ass ridden forever. my friend got ridden for giving support to one of wankgate's monster of the weeks. this noodles person gets ridden because apparently someone thinks they're a member/leader of the mean girls club. someone named kristen keeps getting pa mentioned and i don't even know why

wg is the reason we have this culture where if you piss off the wrong person you get your ass ridden forever. some of it's bled here to rpa, but it didn't come from rpa. it came from wg

i have a grudgewanker who tries to ride my ass every once in awhile but i know exactly who it is and i've called them out on it a few times.

they'll always stop for awhile then start up again, it's really fucking pathetic once it gets into the several-year mark.

you're missing the point. just because you're so brave and strong and you tell the grudgewanker where to stick it doesn't mean everyone else has that taste for confrontation, nor should they have to have that taste to be a part of this hobby

this is a writing hobby, not a hobby for internet one-upsmanship. if that's the hobby you want there are plenty of more appropriate places to get it

so don't go on wg, or avoid the namedrop thread. not that hard. you're not going to close the comms by folding your arms and scolding people, which you apparently can't do because that's too confrontational.

Sorry, but it's existed that if you piss off the wrong person you'll get your ass ridden forever even before wankgate ever existed. There were plenty of grudgewankers on LJ and you could see it plenty of times on rpsecrets back in the day. Wankgate didn't make them suddenly start existing, it just gave them a venue to be assholes on.
