rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. (Anonymous) 2016-05-24 03:57 am (UTC)(link)but even as a retail anon here, the issue of "taking the time off" is really not that difficult. i work full-time almost 40 hours a week but always get 2 days off; the week starts on sunday at my store, so i just request fri-sun off and an opening shift on thurs, and just work the other days of the week. doesn't cost me a single work day or use any of my vacation hours either.
the cost of everything else, coupled with a waning desire to be hot, sweaty, uncomfortable, and overcrowded for 3 days... has kept me away from cons these past few years, but time-off wise, even in a shift job, it would be totally feasible.
