ten to one it's thrush. any place where skin constantly touches skin and you get hot/wet, you can breed bacteria. i've gotten it in my bra more than once, and i've heard of people getting it in the folds of their legs/crotch. alcohol isn't going to help. think of it as a diaper rash. ball up some toilet paper and cram it in there to keep your skin apart and soak up any moisture. do that for a day or so and it should clear up.

it does dry it out, but that's not always a good thing. alcohol dries too quickly and then you're left with dry skin that's still a breeding ground for bacteria as soon as it touches and gets sweaty again. it's just a thing some people have to go through, unfortunately. i've found the tp ball the best way to clean it out and keep it dry and untouched for long enough that the irritation goes away, but my belly button is usually red.

yeah, if i let it go too long it gets itchy and produces a little fluid, and it's almost always red. i've seen tiny spots of blood before too. i've got a bit of paper towel in it now so i'll try keeping this up for a few days.
