Your webcam is at a high angle (probably) which helps slim the face, and also

they tend to be low res so it hides your flaws and washes you out. sorry, anon. you look good because the webcam hides your ugly. =(

resolution and blurriness

my front camera on my phone does this. the preview on the screen looks fine, but when you actually take it the picture looks warped

no, it's because the preview pic of you has 3D movement, however slight. your taken picture has none. it's why so many people think they look amazing in a mirror but not in pictures and has to do with visual perception

my head shape and facial structure literally looks different in pics taken by my front facing camera

actually, i just googled it too. apparently front facing camera distortion is a pretty common issue with my phone
