rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. i'm a filthy casual manga reader, is there a reason mangafox is the last resort? are there better sites i should be going on for some reason?

in scanner and translator circles, mangafox is known for making money off of the scans that get uploaded to the site. made worse by the fact that none of the translations or scans are done by them and the actual scanlators don't approve of making money off of free scanlations.

also, as a reader, places like batoto keep a better quality of the scans when uploaded than mangafox by a mile.

mostly im bothered by the fact im looking at a godawfully compressed jpeg and that they use whoever translated first and is therefore usually in terrible quality to start doesnt help

If you disagree with them making money then enable adblock and ensure they get no revenue from your visit. However no add-on exists to make a shitty compressed jpeg look better.

Oh, and they also host things the original scanners ask not to be put on manga reader websites. Another 'eh I guess that's shitty but not the real reason' thing.
