anon you do realize that's how currency is given it's value both nationally and internationally. It's really not based on gold, silver, precious metals/gems the country has anymore but by a bunch of factors which includes inflation, intrest rates, defecit, and public debt. it's why the buy gold is such a bullshit scam.
