I'm thinking of re-apping into a game I played in about six months back with the same character. For a variety of factors, all personal and none having to do with the game itself, I quit. I've never done this before, so I'm just wondering how anyone else has done this.

Has anyone here ever re-apped into a game either with the same or a different character? Was it good, bad, absolute trainwreck?

People do this all the time. It's no big deal, so long as you didn't burn all your bridges.

It'll be fine. Just keep in mind that your old CR might've moved on, and don't expect the exact same experience you had last time.

i've reapped in with a same character and it's been fine. loads of people do both; sometimes game x just didn't suit char a and they dropped because of it, but they picked up char b and loved the game, and hey, b fits it really well. or they just got tired of playing a for a while and needed a break, then came back with a and tried again after a refresher. it happens. there's no reason to think it'd be weird.

unless someone repeatedly and consistently drops and reapps into a game, either with the same char or just with a rotating muselist of their new shinies.
