rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

this is a conversation my coworker had earlier this week.:

person A calling: I am deeply offended by this thing you send me. Call me at once to discuss your actions. Do NOT leave me a voicemail, you can reach me on Saturday and next Thursday on this number from 1-2PM. I repeat, you have GRAVELY offended me.
Coworker: Hello A, what can I do for you? May I ask how we offended you?
A: How DARE you send me mail addressed to A, where the federal government or anyone can see it? I don't go by that name anymore.
CW: I apologize, how would you like us to address correspondence in the future?
A: How did you even get my [birth name]? Why are you sending me mail with that name?
CW: Well, we got the address from your aunt, and this is a legal notification to you. I apologize if she got the name wrong. How would you like us to address you?
A: I need to know how you got that name.
CW: Your aunt gave it to us via email. How would you like us to address you?
A: Well, I don't want you mailing any more letters by that name. I need to see this email.
CW: I can't share that information with you, but how would you like us to address you?
A: But I guess... if that's what you're using, you can send me letters by that name.
CW: ....No, we'll use what you want. How should be address you?
A: Well...
CW: Yes?
A: It's okay, you can address it to A.
CW: ....no, you said you were offended, so what would you prefer?
A: I guess...... you can address it to Anna Twinkleflower Sapphire [note: this is not the name she gave us, but it's something like that]
CW: [busy writing] Okay.
A: BUT you can NOT call me that.
CW: .........then what would you like us to call you?
A: Well... I guess.... maybe A.
CW: ...are you sure? We'll call you by whatever you prefer.
A: Well... [repeat back and forth a couple of times.] You can call me Anna Twinkleflower Sapphire. I guess. But the federal government might take notice.
CW: ........yes, they might.

Was she old? I get SO MANY old ladies who are so offended by x, but 90% of the time they've gone and offended themselves by being the instigator of x...? Sigh.

sounds more like either a tumblr sparklegender moonbat, or someone hoping if they flipped out loudly enough about something that might sound vaguely discriminatory, the collections people would stop calling them. especially if anon's coworker got the name from the woman's aunt.

she wasn't an old lady (maybe late 40's?), but i'm pretty sure she wasn't a tumble sparklegender moonbat either. i do suspect that the collections people might be after her.
