a while back, someone taught me how to adblock images on twitter since I can't seem to get it to work. seemed to involve typing it as a different kind of custom filter? idr

can someone help me do that again, I never thought I'd need to use it a second time but my friend keeps picking really bad fanart for their icon, it's all uncanny valley

just adblock plus! I copied the image location and added it to my filter, but i know there's a special url i need to use for twitter images or smth and I can't remember it

I'm using Adblock Latitude, so I don't know if it's exactly the same, but here:

If you copied the icon / profile image url it should look something like this, right?

https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/###number###/_.jpg

Just remove the _.jpg part and...

||pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/###number###/*

Add two standing | at the front and one asterisk * at the end.

That should block your friend's Twitter icon wherever it shows up on Twitter

I can't rightclick images on Twitter and get the adblock plus option to show up, it just shows the normal picture options :(

I "opened all blockable elements" until I found the right one though...THANK YOU, now I don't have to put up with really bad fanart

Aha! That's a relief to hear

Just so you know, I was going to say, when you click on the Twitter user's icon, don't let go right away and drag it up to the URL bar

It should go to the url for the icon and show only that one image

From there, when you open "open all blockable elements" it'll only show you one thing and you won't have to hunt through the entire thing
