rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Except not? It's "your character is dead and in Hell." That's not stereotypical jamjar anything, tbh. You're not held here because of spooky gods or whatever, you're in the actual afterlife. I can't name anything really like that that doesn't somehow make it into "you were still kidnapped by spooky NPCs" a la Monad.

Yeah, currently existing games. I can't name many that go all the way with characters actually being dead and not hijacked because Reasons.
