This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. man idk, i eat extremely little and i basically don't move at all (disabled but i probably could with some effort, but i work in an office in 10 hour shifts where i am pretty much sitting in a cubicle the entire time). by the time i'm home i'm so tired exercise is a chore and eating or cooking is a chore.

sample daily menus
- about 1 cup of cooked black beans mixed with jalapeno, bit of lime, and onion. i didn't have tomatoes but sometimes i cut up a little fresh in it. + an orange. + i got like 2g of fat from flax seed gel vitamins.

- one apple + 2 tbsp of pb. + about 4 (dry) oz of steel cut oats with a handful of blueberries (that's about 6-8) and water to cook it for oatmeal. + a banana.

- two "lunchbox" apples. + a bit (idk like a few pecks???) of smoked salmon. + a few pieces of broccoli floret.

- a few spoonfuls of cottage cheese. + handful of raspberries (under 12?). + spinach salad (few uncooked handfuls, balsamic vinegar VERY LIGHT for dressing, might throw in a few berries).

- mix n match, sometimes with as little as one apple a day and sometimes i eat almost two times this.


i don't drink alcohol or pop. i don't drink energy drinks. i drink coffee black and rarely. all days i drink between 4-8 20oz cups of water. i don't like tea. i do not ever drink milk (lactose intolerant) and rarely use substitute and when i do it's just a trickle in oatmeal. i have forbidden myself "sweets" as in candies, pastries, junk foods of any kind. almost never any pasta or bread. i don't really eat meat much because it's expensive and i don't like the taste really. sometimes fish, usually fresh, usually something like rosemary, lemon, pepper, garlic. i hate butter and do not use it or substitutes and use LIGHT olive or coconut oil if i must.

so idk why am i 230 lbs and 5'1", genius? and are you factoring in my stress? hormones? age? i'm definitely not getting enough protein, carbs, fats, vitamins, fiber, so on and that's probably part of the reason i'm tired as shit. calories are a baseline and in the end you need to factor it all in and EVEN THEN it's still??

my family is full of doctors and my sister does sports medicine (works with athletes and isn't just an asshole with a cert that thinks they can tell you what to eat) and is pretty baffled why i don't lose weight regularly and i'm not skeletal. i've had people accuse me of lying about what i eat and some just go OH JUST EAT SOME CRACKERS AND DRINK SOME WATER BEFORE BED like i'm up eating shaggy and scooby sandwiches at midnight or some shit. and i don't have a thyroid issue.

so idk doctor anon tell me what i need to do and why i ate pretty much all raw and vegetarian and no sweets and was super active in my teens and was fat then, too?

you've probably fucked your body over because you're eating like shit. there's no way you're getting all of the vitamins and nutrients you need from a diet like that. diets aren't just about how many or how few calories you're eating, they're about what KIND of calories you're eating and how much of what. you can't just eat "healthy" food and call it done, you have to actually make sure you're getting what your body needs or else of course it isn't going to function properly.

I'm not going into trying to figure out exactly how many calories are in what you're eating but it looks ridiculously low (900-1200 from glancing at it.) It's very possible you aren't getting enough calories for your needs, because people forget there's a line between so few calories you start dying and few enough calories that your body just hoards and stores everything you do give it, and that line is in different places for different people. Some people gain weight when they start dieting (like myself) because they're going below their calories needed, rather than changing what they eat.

And like anon above me said (and you mentioned in your own comment) you probably also need more variety. As healthy as fruits and vegetables (and fish) are, they're just not going to give you everything you need.

clearly you are some amazing rare biological anomaly that create fat despite eating at a deficit (which i assume you're eating at, you didn't include any actual calorie values)
