so how's the second season of fear doing? season one was so disappointing that i might only marathon it once it's over to psych myself up for twd proper.

i really wish they would have gone slow with it (even if people bitched) and concentrated on the government fallout and societal collapse. instead of just fast-forwarding into a shittier twd on a boat.

i might tune in though if they finally use heroin guy to go all trainspotting with zombies.

it's kind of uneven right now. the pacing alternates between decent and molasses. they haven't really sold me on caring about or hating anyone yet. as someone who was underwhelmed with season 1 and hoping they'd get their legs this season, i'm pretty close to just dropping it. if a show takes this long to get consistently interesting (and it hasn't yet) it's likely that it won't in my experience.

"shittier twd on a boat" this is exactly why i'm dropping it. i wanted to watch a show about the gradual breakdown of society & the slow realization that this is the end of the world, not the most boring family in existence isolated on a fucking yacht.

there was one decent episode this season where they landed on an island and found this really creepy survivalist family who were planning on killing themselves. the atmosphere was unsettling and i was thinking that this might finally be the moment that the show found its footing. but nope, by the end of it they were right back on the damn boat again.

Eh.

I like it more than most of 6B of the walking dead. Which probably isn't saying that much since I hated that. I honestly went into this show without many expectations, not expecting another TWD so maybe that's why I'm actually kind of enjoying it so far.

Most of the characters are irritating but I've really warmed up to Nick the last few episodes and Victor is fascinating enough for me to want to find out what his deal is.

It's not great but I think it has potential which is why I'm sticking it out. That and I have no hbo to watch GoT...

my parents are so into this and all i want is everyone on this boat to die, horribly

we keep adding increasingly improbable backstories in an effort to make anyone on it interesting

for fun horror times on a boat, i would recommend "the river"!

they lost me with the idea that a junkie is somehow uber suited for life in the apocalypse. junkies aren't good at anything except fucking themselves up and turning everything around them to shit.
