rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I am not familiar with most of them, sadly, but I am still excited!

grimmjow seems hilarious, i'm also keeping my fingers crossed for death for the same reason though they haven't submitted an app yet

opinions on the personality-less apps?

personally, i think that switching up the traditional format was a good idea. when i wrote my app, i used basically all of the sections to communicate everything that i would normally put into a standard personality section... just broken out differently.

imo you're still showing your grasp of the character all the same, but the app obligated you to think about it a little differently. it felt like it was about showcasing your flexibility as a writer more than anything, which, in retrospect, does make sense

i didn't really feel the difference tbh.

instead of regular personality section, i just wrote a condensed version pretending i'm gushing about the character to someone else. seems to have done the job.

i went the gushing route, too, but i read some of the other apps and it was kind of fun to see how other people approached it as a literal sales pitch.

as someone who also wrote it like a more casual "expected personality section essay" i almost feel like i didn't put enough effort into the "pitch" part. some people really went all out for it!
