one thing I've always wondered about this is... don't you have to get a brand new tumblr every time you want to make a rp journal? since you can't really reblog or like stuff from a side blog attached to your main

You can reblog stuff on sideblogs as well as like stuff, if I remember right. But yeah, can't follow people from the sideblog, which is a little bit of a pain.

I only really use sideblogs for OCs or shit like that.

yep, and it matters a ton, unfortunately. you can't send asks from sideblogs, reply to asks without your main blog showing as the responder, reply, etc. etc.
