my elderly neighbor got her first android phone and she wants all of the free games that she can get because, you know, free. i downloaded a couple of apps in the top free section but the more the better, you know?

what games would you recommend for an old lady getting used to a touch screen? maybe apps too, but she's not an internet person so i can't think of any that aren't social networking or something else that she wouldn't use.

think bowling, slots, maybe candy crush (never personally played it). she has a soft spot for dogs if you guys know any apps that would appeal to her in that way.

There's a game called Boku no Wanko which I think has a (kind of shitty) English translation! It's the same kind of concept as Neko Atsume, but with dogs. Personally, I think it needs a few bugs worked out but it's still fun.

If she likes puzzle/logic game stuff? Show her Hungry Cat Picross or Picross Wall 2. There's also Bejewled Blitz which is free and there's a shit ton of crossword puzzles that are free, too.

neko atsume

I'd recommend Hunt Cook: Catch and Serve! or Survive! Mola Mola! for fun games that really use social networks (unless you want to earn real ingame currency).

Hunt Cook is a game where you hunt game animals with a Shiba Inu (with a small running minigame) and then cook them into dishes for customers. It's very chibi and cute. (No gore when you butcher the meat, just very by the book "how to properly dismantle meat" instructions since it's censored so kids can play.)

Survive Mola Mola is an evolution based game where your Mola Mola fish eats and goes on adventures to gain weight. Both deaths and successes give you mola points to upgrade and unlock things. You get bonuses that stack up with each death so starting over after a death isn't really that hard. It's very cute, too with the Mola Mola crying in kaomojis as it dies because you turned the phone light down to the lowest setting (yes, that is how you can kill it).
