Just a few I used to frequent a while back. My apologies; I should clarify I haven't seen many recently, but usually several PC players pop up whenever a new region comes around, and I've spotted at least one or two in past games. A recent discussion about banning canon OCs is what prompted this.

there's usually one event a month split into two logs. these are usually places the ship makes stops (planets, space stations, etc) but sometimes events take place on the ship as well. events usually have slight horror and humour tones, with the occasional bit of crack.

there are usually a couple player plots going on as well, and people tend to be pretty open to getting others involved in them, even people outside their cast. for example, currently there's a truth serum plot kicking around in the background, some tensions between AI/everyone else, a transformer murder in the works, and a bunch of other stuff.

pacing used to be slower, these days it's fairly fast, and backtagging is expected. most players are very friendly, but some prefer to stick to their casts/specific interests (and that's fine). i've run into some people who had a lot of trouble getting threads and CR, and it seemed mostly that it was because they were playing OCs or LCWs.

to that end i find it helps to be proactive and tag out a lot when you're first into the game. it's way easier to get established if you're in a big cast. my LCW is doing fine now, but it was a little rough at first

app standards are low, the mods are flexible, and in general the game is very relaxed and low-key to be in ooc. i'd recommend it pretty highly, it's some of the most fun i've had in a while and there's a lot of freedom to do what interests you within the setting.

i think you might be the first other person i've met who's dealt with that, too

Did they mention what happened to Okuyasu's mom in the manga or was that added in the anime? It's been a while since I read part 4.

Our original idea was to list a few spheres of influence for each patron.

Say Angel Nathaniel whose sphere is fire, we'd accept anything relating to fire (lava, setting yourself on fire, solar heat, fireballs) so it would open room to creativity. But combine that with other spheres we'd list such as (as an example) healing, metal works, technology, and that gives you a better idea of what you could plan for.

So for example someone could just use one of those (become nothing but a healer with great healing spells, firebender) or combine them (someone who can use lava to quickly forge items in metal, pull out metal from their bodies by turning it into lava, being able to turn part of their body into metal and make healing tools and become a walking doctor whose fingers can turn into scalpels etc).

So far we're thinking that the more powerful your character already is, the less spells and powers you'd get from your patron angel/demon. The biggest problem is rating this correctly so no one feels penalized, but that's why it's still a work in progress. We do feel most games don't allow canon powers and we want to work with that, even if it increases the difficulty.

Both sides would be able to communicate with each other using the network, but they'd still be at war. If your character's close CR ends up on the other, it could be interesting to play out. Admittedly it is our biggest hurdle for keeping that dynamic interesting without making it boring. Would characters who switch sides be acceptable, or is that too predictable? Should we force characters to stay on their respective sides until much later into the game?

We're not quite sure yet. We have wanted to grab from various branches of mythology, and some new-age angel stuff for additional spheres of influence. The idea below by another anon is something we're thinking about as well!

When we do finalize the list, we'll make sure to post it here.

Yeah, I definitely think the more powers a character has (IE: Naruto) the less they'll need added bonus powers.

Yeah, as someone who played in Tanagura, it's definitely a huge hurdle to overcome when characters aren't supposed to mingle. One group wasn't allowed to enter the other group's area, but the more privileged group got to roam around wherever they want.

In this case, I think having a specific area as a non-combat zone (like in real life) would help. So it could be somewhere where everyone can come and mingle. It'd be used for political purposes for NPCs and for cr opportunities for players?

And being able to switch sides might be a good idea!! You'd just have to worry about having a balanced cast, since a lot of good-natured characters, regardless of their patrons, would probably want to side with those they find in the right. To avoid this, you might want to make both sides morally grey/relatable rather than black and white.

I'm looking forward to reading about the angels and demons! It'd be fun for people who have morally ambiguous characters to have to choose between angels and demons. I'd think about how that might affect their in-game development...

all the shitty browser games i used to be into. i would spend so much money on them when i was super manic and then get bored. i probably spent close to 200 dollars on one and it was so generic and boring i don't even remember what it was about anymore.

After talking between ourselves, we can see that being possible and could be a really fun idea. A lot of gods in mythology have similar spheres of influence, so having one being various gods (Nathaniel/Hephaestus/Mixcoatl/etc) could really make things more interesting, and wouldn't change our storyline very much right now.

If we do go that way, we'd keep the main angel and demons as their primary forms and have the others as sort alternate forms that players could get sphere and physical inspirations from (stylized Egyptian headdresses and instruments, wings that looks more like a Mayan god, Norse influenced weapons and armor, and so on)

Bunnies are the preyiest of prey animals so I think there's always a bit of skittishness in them. Then again, rabbits vary a lot in personality so maybe I've just never met a super confident one that never flinches.

They definitely become more calm ans affectionate with a lot of socialising. A lot of the time I'm at the Rescue just to hold bunnies and play with them. I've also started trying to convince my roomie's bunnies to like me by giving them a treat every time I walk into their space.

Bunnies are social groomers and it's how they establish dominance. You're whipped if they stick their heads out and downward for pats (they also bonk you), but it means they trust you. They'll also lie or flop down around you with their legs stuck out and a slow twitching nose which means they feel safe and don't want to run. They love cuddles and a lot of the ones I deal with will hop into laps, sometimes you get a lick or some content teeth grinding.

Awesome! I'm so excited about the possibilities. I like the original idea, too, so I'll be happy regardless of the direction you choose!

The only obstacle I can see the change making is having to divide the gods into demon and angel categories. For instance, would loki be considered an angel or a demon? Osiris? Fenrir? Or would it be easier to let the player make a case in their app, as to which side they'd be on?
