I have a character who's into pro wrestling and the easiest way I found to figure it out was just going to a pro wrestling fan forum, watching that week's shows, and then seeing what the discussion about them was like. I didn't need long-term context or anything, I just needed to see what fans sounded like when they were talking about it.
