rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. The guy I have in mind is definitely the type to listen carefully to what goes on around him, and if it ever comes up, would also like to try out a few customs and traditions here and there. In canon, he shook hands with a human, because that's what they do with friends etc. So I'm definitely open to that kind of thing.

Yeah, coming off as one-note is something I'm worried about - it'll definitely be something I'll try to be aware of as much as possible.

I don't think I'll be sending them to a game any time soon (though the temptation right now is real), but this is great advice, thanks!

I wish the flavor of OC rp that there is on ij was available here. People are more about creating characters around a specific plot rather than the way it is here, with the focus being on characters already fleshed out and finding a fitting plot.

I don't have an OC ready to go. I don't really feel so invested that I seek out established OCs. But I have stupid shippy things I'd like to play out, and random storylines that would require really specific character types.

They pull you close, one hand slipping around your waist, breath tickling your ear as they lean down...

...and tell you that, with you gone, the next heir to the throne is a distant cousin - a distant Northandlian cousin who is loyal to Northlandia interests. Within months, your nation will be nothing but a subjugated vassal state.

i miss this too! i played on ij for a while, and i really enjoyed the playing, but i didn't enjoy the ooc atmosphere. i really like creating ocs to fit a setting instead of trying to chop up one of my old ones and force them to fit in somewhere.

i think this is why i always volunteer to play npcs in my games.
