And most of it is from characters already in the game. Some of the threads only involve characters already in the game threading with each other. I know it can be used for game canon, but seriously?

i'm cool with in-game chars tagging potentials on the tdm along with potentials all tagging each other, but in-game chars tagging in-game chars on the tdm? no. that's worse than when oldbies use intro posts for olbie only threads. also doesn't really give me much hope for getting in if people are too busy using places to draw in newbies to stroke their own boners in public more.

as someone in the game already, it's really offputting to watch & the reason i haven't put my character on the rescuer tdm. i get that it's a fun prompt, but i wish people would consider how it looks from an outside perspective. it makes it feel like they don't actually want new players or characters in the game.

I'm also in game and I did post my in game character on the rescuer TDM prompt - pretty much all my replies but one have been from players completely new to the game, and it's been awesome. All it is is making it a bit easier for newbies to get in on the dream prompt because it sets the scene for them without them having to worry about it.

Everyone's been jacked about the idea of new players all month.

It's an RP prompt...people are having fun. Along with functioning as a TDM it's also basically an event. Whether or not people in game tag each other has no effect on newbies.

As long as the newbies are being tagged and welcomed I see no harm in people having a little fun.

no, anon. a tdm is not a game event. it can be and can have canon carried in, but it's a way for non-players to see if their chars fit into the setting, not an in-game maybe/in-game meme for established players to be the star of. you want to play shit like that for fun? put up a meme for established players. don't circlejerk and be a spotlight hog in the one area for potential players. that's how you chase people away.

I don't know why you're making such a big deal out of it. I don't actually see that many people tagging characters already in game. The one who seems most guilty of it is Luce-mun.

The thing that bothers me is how little love the musician TDM is getting.

because it's a shitty thing to do, full stop. i don't really care who gets the finger pointed at them, but the only people oldbies should be tagging are newbies, and they most definitely should not be putting up top levels. save your attention whoring for the game.

this is so confusing to me?? i thought the whole point of the 'A' portion of the rescuer TDM was for people with characters already in the game to put up top-levels for people thinking about apping rescuers to tag??? because... they're the characters who are being rescued??? like....that's....that was the point....that's how it was supposed to work

They're talking about people who are also already in game responding to those tags instead of just the potential rescuers. Like I said, it mostly seems to be Luce's mun doing that though.

They do have a point that it is kind of rude though.
