quix in fact blamed the playerbase for the game's demise rather than admitting to any negligence which speaks volumes about her character and her capabilities as a mod.

if you want to play in a quix game, go for it, guys. i'm not the anons trolling the threads when they pop up, but at the same time? i completely understand why someone would be salty about her. blaming it on ~grudge~ isn't making her look any better when she legitimately fucked up and deserves the backlash she gets. "your experience =/= everyone's experience" works both ways.

also where have you seen quix admit being wrong about anything with changed? bc honestly half the salt was about just how adamant quix was that she was in the right on the changed front. an actual apology would have gone a long way but instead she left pillars of salt in her wake

man tbh I wouldn't have side-eyed quix opening successive games after changed half as hard if quix had just publically admitted they were wrong about how they closed changed, realized what mistakes they had made, and wanted to take the experience to heart and try to improve as a mod in the future

but a lot of us never actually saw anything like that. instead we got to watch quix plow right on with shiny new game ideas like everything was hunky dory and we'd all just forget about that one pesky mistake by our own power or smth

the lack of any visible acknowledgment at all for past fuckups that have upset a lot of people kind of leaves a bad taste. but if quix really does have any documented remorse about this, itd be nice to actually see it

she's talked multiple times on her plurk about how there were a lot of fuck ups involved in how Changed went down which you obviously haven't seen because it's private. where else exactly is she supposed to give this big expose of her mistakes of multiple years ago? posting logged in to anon meme is supposedly in bad taste and mostly what got her in trouble in the first place.

I'm keeping this short and I'm not going to reply to or probably even read any replies made to this comment because I don't really need more anon-circus in my life. I'm just going to trust that you personally are being honest about just wanting to see some remorse as opposed to trying to bait me into making a scene or what have you.

I am sorry about the things I fucked up in Changed, and everything I do as a mod these days is in an attempt to not make the same mistakes. I'm in a different place in my life now than I was then, and a lot about my mental space at the time resulted in me doing things in a bad way that I look back on regretfully. I'm not going to imply that I feel like everything bad about Changed was individually my fault because since when are clusterfucks ever that simple. But a portion of it certainly was, bad decisions were made, and obviously if I had the choice I wouldn't do the same things again.

Which I'm constantly keeping in mind with the stuff I do now. For all people complain about people's past actions they don't really seem to like to let them benefit from the wisdom that comes with failure. I mean, a lot of that is probably shit stirring from people who are in it for the fun of making a fuss more than anything else, but you know. Of course people could debate for ages about whether I'm succeeding about improving myself, but that's not an argument I'm getting into on an anon blog of all places. I'm doing my best.

There really aren't a lot of places in this community for people to have earnest heart to hearts about things they've fucked up in the past because it always just seems to come across as an invitation for causing drama for the sake of drama. It inspires this whole atmosphere where admitting you're wrong seems like it's opening yourself to attack, which is the kind of thing I was scared of for a long time. I wish it wasn't that way, but what can you do, I guess.

you shouldn't be a mod. period. if that shit you pulled at changed didn't disqualify you, then the carrying on over tumblr about how much you looked down on your players and viewed modding solely as a way to exert power over groups of people did

this was an obvious attempt at damage control but your whole "i won't respond or even read the replies here" destroyed any value it might have had as such. protip for future disseminations, quix: when trying to convince people you've ~~~~changed~~~~ and aren't the same narcissistic asshole who killed a game and then blamed it on the players, you might try not telling people upfront you don't give a damn what they think. it really just kills the whole "oh i'm a DIFFERENT PERSON now, honest!" message

if by "january of last year" you mean january 2014 then we're coming up on two years now which makes it old news imo

i'd get it if newer anons were coming into the interstellar thread asking if there's anything to watch out for, or if something new came up that called for past receipts, but it's been quiet since changed. everyone who got burned during whatever happened has the right to be salty and avoid every game quix makes if they want, but there's no reason to keep bringing it up on every single wg/rpa without any prompt except "hey this person still exists."
