rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. i haven't read the manga since i was a kid and i've been kind of tempted to check out the omnibus re-release by kodansha

i've also never seen the anime

I haven't seen the anime, but if you love paint by numbers magical girl series, you're gonna love the manga. it's nothing new, it's nothing game-changing, but it's a super cute fun series about animal magical girls saving the world. All the girls are lovely and, while the primary focus is on Ichigo, the rest of team Mew Mew get cute little character moments now and then so they're not just wallpaper (except Zakuro. she's kind of wallpaper.) If anyone's gonna complain about anything in TMM, it's the male characters as there's a little bit of Yuki-Tohru-Kyo Fruits Basket love triangle (and fandom went BONKERS about this love triangle back in the day), but the bad boy character is literally a villain. It's worth checking out, at least!

Your milage may very on A La Mode (the sequel) though. Berry, the new main character, is pretty polarizing and the pacing's absolutely horrific—you could tell they were told to wrap it up really quickly.
