The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

regarding the last one: i can take a little dose of random humor per episode, but from appearances it looks like the basis of the show's comedy. y/n?

it's absurdist and the pacing is dated, but it's worth watching

When David Duchovny leaves the show is when it kinda jumps the shark though imho, as a heads up if you start watching it anon. Sharp decline of story quality.

Even though a lot of people feel it jumps the shark after a point, it still holds a lot of charm all the way throughout.

star vs the forces of evil is pretty cute. i wouldn't say it's really amazing and on the level of like adventure time and gravity falls but it's enjoyable to just have on to pass the time even if its not enthralling,

another big yes for twin peaks here. the anons are right that there's a point in watching where it takes a left turn into the absurd and pretty stupid in some areas. very soap opera, but idk i still enjoyed the ride. enough of the characters remained enjoyable for me to be worth it.

ive only seen 3-4 episodes of star, and i can honestly take or leave it. not ALL of the humor comes from the lol so random mentality, but there's still plenty. you will get VERY tired of her attack names though. theme song's catchy as hell. every time i watch it i get the thought that i'm watching an episode of deviantart comments. but i have a super low tolerance for random humor. imo it's one of those shows you'd have to watch an ep or two for yourself and see what you think.

twin peaks is kinda dated and goes down the toilet 1/2 way thru s2 but it's definitely worth watching imo

star vs tfoe is generically cute but ultimately v. much a kid's show
