How the fuck do you take a game from "little nugget of a concept that might be worth doing in some far off alternate universe where a smarter, prettier me with a nicer car and hair with more bounce and shine could pull it off no problem" to the point where like...people will actually give a shit when you talk about it, in a meaningful way, and not in just a "oh hey that would be cool if a game like that existed"?

If there are any game creators in here, I'd sorta like to know how you went about the development process.

i had to read this twice to figure out what the fuck you were asking.

just ask "how do i get people to give an actual shit about my game?" maybe your problem is you don't know how to write in a clear and concise manner.

Start writing setting information and planning what kind of events/rules/game structure etc. you want to have. No one will give a shit about your game until there is actually something there to be given said shit.

p.s. if you don't know where to start on doing those things, make a list of what kind of questions you want to have settled about your game's setting, and look at some of your favorite games for inspiration on how they do their rules/FAQ/app cycles/AC/whatever.
