I have been roleplaying with my partner for a good four months now. She's told me she loves our storyline and we're constantly PMing to come up with more ideas and plotpoints for it.

However, lately things have been different. She's not on nearly as much as she used to be. She only replies about once or twice a week. She has a lot of other characters, and I feel like she's on those accounts more than the account / character I roleplay with. I'm really attached to our roleplay, as it's my favorite one I've ever done, but I don't know what to do! Should I feel insulted?

I try to tell myself she has tons of other characters and is trying to balance them out, or that she's just not in the mood to play the one I RP with. But I don't get it. She used to be on 24/7, and now she's hardly ever on at all. It's starting to affect me in ooc, and I'm really broken up over this.

What do I do?

In these cases you should just move on. It sucks, but otherwise you'll just be miserable.

Drop your threads completely and find someone else to play with. Or... leave the computer and do something else.

Can't force other people to play with you. Or care.

leave PA statuses on aim and tell plurk about having panic attacks

Sometimes people want to feel pursued in a relationship. Here's a few tips. See if you can figure out if she has alternate Plurk, AIM, or DW accounts and send messages letting you know that you figured out if you catch her on one of the others. You can also create a sock account and initiate contact that way and figure out if she's two-timing you or not. It's also helpful to put up a secret on RP!S accusing her of leaving you behind: ignore what other people say, the crazier the better because you want to catch her attention!

Assuming you're not subtly trolling... be frank and tell her that you miss RPing this plot with her and ask if she feels she needs a break to concentrate on her other characters. That way at least you won't be left hanging if she needs x amount of time to do other things aside from RP with you, specifically.

In the meantime, you can fic about your plot or privately brainstorm new ideas to approach her with when she's ready to play once more.

like a previous anon has said, assuming you aren't trolling and are serious in posting this, i second the suggestion of you looking for other people to play with.

my current rl situation has left me with too much time on my hands and instead of pestering what partners i have - and not taking it personally because they have other things to do [school/job/etc.] and aren't around all the time or their time online/number of tags varies - i branched out and tagged other people i was interested in tagging on memes and/or sws and really, just trying to find a variety of people to play with a cr to enjoy. because that's what rp is about: to have fun.

i know it can be very disappointing when you get attached to a verse and character but if she's too busy to play like she used to, that can't be helped and you really should be more considerate of her situation (because RL > RP), no matter how badly you want to play/tag with her. And if she's loosing interest... well, that can't be helped, either. you can't make another player want to play with you if they don't want to. if that's the case, then looking for other people to play with really is the best thing you can do RP-wise.
