rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

how difficult are apps here? how long do you usually spend on yours?

pretty daunting, tbh. it's the only app I've ever felt a need to have beta read. didn't exactly track the time it took to write, but at least several hours.

My experience was completely different than the anon above. Personality and Court Reasoning sections are the most important, and the rest is pretty straightforward. Did it in about an hour or two and was accepted no problem. So long as you have a strong personality with solid canon support, you're good.

I didn't find it much harder than other games. Just make sure that you justify your court selection and - most importantly - back your personality section up with canon examples. The easiest way to get a revision is to have too many personality traits that you don't back up with canon examples. This might mean that you can't straight-up copypaste an app from another game, so if you're going that route be careful and make sure you add in those canon examples if they're not already there.

This. It can be tedious to write specific examples for every trait, but god am I thankful for that requirement. It stops people from saying that their character is smart or a good fighter or whatever without backing it up.

the thing though is, when I apped once before, I thought I'd given canon examples and I still wound up getting a revision. plus I've never seen an app with so much detailed explanation of what the sections should contain as this one does, so maybe there was some intimidation factor there.

they want a level of detail higher than most games, and I understand that. but it is a harder app to conquer for some people.
