machinarium, cute point and click puzzle game, not that hard but if you're having difficulty there's no shame in speeding up your life by using the inbuilt hint feature or a guide
botanicula is by the same people and in a similar vein but a little more relaxing
the stanley parable, there's one review that basically goes "the game crashed and I thought it was a feature" it's a funny game made using the portal 2 engine with a soothing comedic narrator
thomas was alone, 2d puzzle platformer, made me care far too much about shapes, there are one or two tricky parts but overall it's fairly easy, the hardest part is where there are one or two jumps that seem like you shouldn't be able to make it but you can
trine, 2d puzzle game kind of, you switch between different characters with different strengths to solve puzzles and kill things, can be a little glitchy but good fun, there are sequels as well if you like the first one, might want to check out the demo first
year walk, okay I haven't actually finished this one but it's an interesting puzzle game with a cool style, can recommend from what I've played
to the moon, made in rpg maker and shows what you can do with it, very nice little rpg story
LIMBO, easy eerie puzzle game, cool art style, maybe tries a little hard

all of these are around (or under in the case of year walk) your price range
