(Anonymous) 2015-05-14 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)For the skeletal basics, would a character that has a well-defined personality and interactions with other characters but not really an arc or a solid backstory fall short of the linear timeline requirement? My character's canon takes place over the span of a few days and they're a major (but not THE main) character, so I'm worried that they won't meet the requirements even though they're not a minor character by any stretch of the imagination.
The wording on the app rubric makes it sound like only really minor no-name characters will fall short of the requirements (and I know you guys have had trouble with them in the past) but it seems like that's mostly from the perspective of longer canons? A character might be a major character in canons like movies with ensemble casts or single books but not have a ton of timeline to babble about. I guess the closes in-game analogy would be a character like Ariadne.
