When you consider that borderlands 1 was Jack fucking them over for personal gain via Angel, (Jack's horseshit causing the claptrap revolution? and such,) hating Jack isn't entirely unfounded if you consider they went through a lot of horseshit because of Jack.

Have it sort of as a really dumb fuck revenge loop.

Moxxi though it was established was dating Jack up until he burned down an orphanage and blew up her coliseum. I can't help but imagine that shit should be a whole lot closer to the Borderlands 2 timeline.

That's not the part I have a problem with, I even said "not that unjustified, by Borderlands standards." It's the "JUST SHOOT HIM" part that bothers me forever and ever.

I'd be questioning Roland and maybe Brick most on that, since Mordacai is a bit of a child and Lilith is a wee bit crazy I can get why they'd be idiots about it. Roland was a military professional who should know what he's doing.

Oddly enough I kinda give a pass on Roland because it's implied only cared about Jack's already existing weapon of mass destruction and didn't really care about ensuring Jack's death, because he's an altruistic guy like that. Lilith and Moxxi however, who explicitly are trying to kill Jack, just come off as so, so stupid. Argh it's making me angry just talking about it again.

Oh and Roland, unlike Lilith, didn't walk right next to Jack and do absolutely nothing to the person they supposedly want dead. The writers just had a brainfart and completely didn't realize they didn't write any reason for their plot to happen.

(Roland's already hunted down and murdered peeps for that shit though, he's also done it for political espionage bullshit that fucked him over)

Given Moxxi's existing pattern with men, she'd probably rather wreck Jack than straight up kill him. Fucking over her ex-husbands and former dates she's all for, she seems pretty reluctant/upset about killing them.

Did you play the game for yourself yet? She outright says she wants to kill Jack, while trying to do so (again, in a incredibly ineffectual way). I think I'm not getting my points across, because I already said motivation isn't the problem, just how moronically the characters act.

And not even moronically in an in-character way either, since it's so contrived. There's a reason why I'm calling plot hole.

I'm disagreeing with the games premise of moxxi going for it given her existing behaviour pattern is to go for pain over the kill.

That's actually not true; the BL1 cast only realize Jack was responsible for everything/connected to Angel in the middle of 2.
