When do you decide something that's asking for money/doing one of those gofundme campaigns is worth reblogging/replurking?

if i wanted to interact with internet begging i would visit the website myself, pasting their advertising all over just makes me rage inside at how blatant it all is

i've unfollowed/unfriended people for this kind of stuff before it bothers me that much

i only give money to friends i know well who ask me personally. i don't trust random begging strangers on the internet.

idk i dont really signal boost much, but i do donate fairly frequently, bc i have a large disposable income and why not help some folks out.

when the cause meets my random criteria of worth and severity and when i know the person requesting funds well enough to reasonably believe their circumstances are legit.

yes, everyone chooses what they donate to, but i don't want to aid scams by reblogging your average internet con artist.

I'll do it if they're offering commissions or something similar, but that's about it.

almost never- reading rainbow was the only exception. i'll loan money to friends i can trust will pay it back or who i know have a legitimate need, but otherwise, i just can't be assed to care about the dozenth "i need $15,000 because of sudden unfortunate circumstances" plurk i've seen this month
